2011 Pro-Life Bills
WyWatch Family Action believes that abortion is the taking of a human life — nothing more or less. Just as the hour-old, month-old, or eighteen month-old child is a human, so is the baby in the womb. If we have no respect for life before birth, we will have no respect for it at any other time.
Since the passage of the landmark case Roe v. Wade, well over forty-five million preborn children have been aborted in the US. The yearly rate is close to one and a quarter million.
Wyoming, far from being insulated, is in fact a microcosm of the national problem — the extent of which cannot be accurately determined; abortion providers are not even currently required to report abortions.
The Declaration of Independence asserts that all citizens have been “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Tragically, this is not true for the unborn, as they are daily — hourly — deprived of those very lives. The loss to our society is immeasurable.
Such a critical issue demands immediate and strong action. In the last several years, almost all pro-life legislation has failed in the Wyoming legislature.
WyWatch Family Action asks all pro-life citizens of Wyoming to step forward and discuss the importance of passing legislation to protect our most precious gift from God — the life of the unborn, our future.
Legislation introduced into the 2011 General Legislative Session includes the following bills that should be passed by the House and Senate and sent to the Governor’s desk. Please contact your legislators and ask them to support the following bills:
